Join Community College of Philadelphia alumni for The Black Journey: 7th Ward Black History Walking Tour of Philadelphia—a powerful exploration of the people, places, and movements that helped shape our city. Led by CCP alumni and historians Mijuel Johnson and Alphonso Dashiell, this private tour hosted by the CCP Alumni Association explores the Seventh Ward, a once-thriving Black and immigrant community that became a center for Black culture, education, and activism. From the legacy of W.E.B. Du Bois to the impact of local abolitionists and civil rights leaders, this journey uncovers stories that still resonate today. This event is a companion to our tour that was held in Fall 2024 and offers new insights and connections for those returning—and a meaningful introduction for those joining us for the first time.Don't miss this inspiring opportunity to connect with alumni while exploring Philly’s rich past.
